Simotrol is a self-supporting, industrial-rated switchboard system featuring a modular, tiered design. Its versatility, ease of expansion, customization, backward compatibility, and innovative approach cater to a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
Construction
Simotrol is constructed from 2mm folded sheet metal, with fully segregated equipment, busbar, and cabling compartments to meet all Form standards up to 4B and Ingress protection ratings up to IP54. The default finish colour is RAL 7035 Grey, powder coated with a white interior. Alternative colours are available on request.

Simotrol is designed to accommodate a range of switchgear offerings covering the inventory of all major suppliers.
Compliance
Simotrol is AS/NZS 61439 compliant. Independent laboratory verification has certified that Simotrol meets all the requirements of AS/NZS 61439 for low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
Two standard tier heights are available: 1980mm and 2200mm with a depth of 450mm for single sided front access, and 750mm for double sided configurations.
Functional unit assemblies (modules) consist of a demountable tray and an associated door located in the equipment compartments, positioned on the accessible face of the switchboard. Cable access can be from the top or bottom.

Construction
The main enclosure is constructed from 1.6mm folded sheet metal, with an Ingress Protection rating up to IP54. The default colour finish is powder-coated cream ripple. All internal components are white, with alternative colours available upon request.
Enclosures can be customized to any size, ranging from 250mm to 2250mm in 125mm increments. Standard profile depths range from 125mm to 330mm. For floor mounted enclosures, 3mm steel plinths are provided. Doors can be hinged on either the left or right side, with cable access available from the top or bottom.

Chosen from a range of supplier products, these enclosures cover a comprehensive selection from terminal boxes and control panels to larger wall-mounted enclosures and bayable floor mounted panels.
A variety of materials and IP ratings are available, including plastic, polycarbonate, aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel.
